Shorthair Cats

Just like the famous Persian, the British Shorthair also have broad round head and is often stocky. They also have small round ears and short thick tail. The Exotic Shorthair is a true short-coated version of the Persian because they are bred from Persian and British Shorthair. 

The manx

The manx which belongs to the breed of tailless cat has a long tradition and was considered a lucky symbol. The Scottish Fold is another shorthair cat distinguished by its folded ears.

Some short-haired breeds that have different body configuration from the British and Exotic Shorthairs are described as Foreign Shorthairs. These cats tend to be slim and lithe, they usually have long faces, large ears, long slim legs and long pointed tails.

Abyssinian

The Abyssinian is known to have a resemblance in the Ancient Egypt cats. They have a so-called 'ticked' coat which make them unique among other cats.

The Russian Blue has a distinctive dense coat, dark slate grey in colour and green eyes. The Korat native to Thailand, has the same colour with The Russian Blue however their coat is smoother and they have a heart-shaped face.

The Burmese is another short-haired cat, known for their undoubted intellegence and good nature. They are slightly stockier among other cats. Other Foreign Shorthairs include the shiny black Bombay, Burmillas and the distinctive Rexes.
