
Grooming your Cat
Cats as we all know have high grooming maintenance. Grooming is a
part of their disposition. But do you know that the cat's own tongue is
a well-adapted tool for grooming? Yes that's true, cats use their tongue
to groom their coats.
Actually, there is no need for owners to groom short-haired cats most
of the time. A simple brushing will do provided that their well-being
should always be on the right track.

Most short-haired cats benefit greatly from the regular use of a very
fine-toothed comb. This effectively removes loose and dead hair from the
coat, dead flakes of skin and fleas.
Daily grooming is absolutely essential for all long-haired breed, however most long-haired cats are unable to groom themselves adequately.
Many experienced fanciers recommend that long-haired cats should be
groom at least two or three times a day.

Bathing may not be necessary for long-haired cats, but there are
other breeds that requires bathing to be part of their daily grooming
routine.
