All About Cats
Having a pet animal provide long hours of enjoyment. Anyone who has
ever enjoyed the company of a pet knows well enough just how strong the
bond between human and animal can be. Keeping your pet healthy and happy
can be rewarding, responsible ownership means happy pets.
The commitment to care for an animal pet is a commitment for the
whole of that animal's lifetime. You have to take total responsibility
for their health and well-being. Just like humans, every animal has the
right to live, to be cared and to be loved.
Cats, are the most easiest household animals because they are
independent and mostly undemanding. They are known for their strong
ability to survive. Some owners tend to treat them casually and
irresponsibly. But, their reputation for independence does not mean they
can be neglected. Given a good home cats will provide years of rewarding
companionship.
Cats were first domesticated by the Egyptians about four thousand
years ago. Today, there are about a hundred varieties of
pedigree cat to
choose from, but by far the greatest number of household cats are
mongrel. The breeding propensity of the cat, makes certain a very high
percentage of mongrel kittens.
In Europe, the Tabbies are thought to have been early mutations, and
tabby markings still show on kittens of many later
breeds descended from
them.
